Welcome!

The Great Barrington Millers mark the return of organized, adult baseball to the Southern Berkshire region.  The Berkshires may well be the birthplace of America's game, and we are proud to honor this tradition by presenting a high level of play, sportsmanship, and entertainment.  Come on down and watch!

You can view our schedule in the sidebar to the right of this page, or download it here: CDMSBL 2008.pdf

Our home field is Memorial Field, on Bridge Street in Great Barrington, MA.

We are across the street from the former Searles School and adjacent to the Berkshire Co-Op Market.

Our team is named in honor of the many historic mills that once lined the banks of the Housatonic.  Great Barrington has boasted grist mills, plaster mills, paper mills; tanneries, breweries; furniture, woolen and cotton factories--not to mention being the first Main Street in the United States with electric lights!

The Southern Berkshire Amateur Baseball Club was born of a loose group of friends and baseball enthusiasts who have found each other over the last several years and "formed" the Church of Baseball (the nickname we have given to our Sunday morning practices and scrimmages at Memorial Field).  After two seasons of working out together, we voted to form a traveling team and join the Capital District Men's Senior Baseball League (CDMSBL) based in Albany, New York.  We will be participating in the 25-and-over Division and play a 20-game 2008 Schedule over the course of spring and summer, 2008.  We have a roster of 21 players from the region.  Individually, we have played in High School, College, and various adult leagues.

Have a look at the 2008 Great Barrington Millers Player Roster.

Unfortunately, our growing numbers of under-25 players will be left out of this year's game schedule, but we intend to continue our push to seeing a wooden bat league for over-18 form in Berkshire County.  If you are interested, please contact us for more information!

We need help!  If you are a baseball enthusiast and would like to help us by:  Keeping score, helping with the field, scheduling/making calls, or sponsoring our team, please contact us.
